The reverse way to manifest (surprisingly powerful!)

Written by:

When you and 9 other people think of manifesting, you may imagine 10 different processes.

But all of you probably start the same way — with some kind of a mental process.

Visualizing, “raising vibrations”, affirmations… a method to start believing in your manifestation before you have it.

Well today, we’re going to look at a reverse way of manifesting, that starts completely differently but can be equally potent.

The intrinsic problem with believing first

The power of belief is certainly very strong.

The book The Power of Your Subconscious Mind has countless examples of people who achieved unbelievable things, seemingly just because they believed in it without a shadow of a doubt.

And that also explains why so many people struggle with manifestation.

Because we are 3D beings, rooted in a 3D reality, and we’re used to our beliefs being based upon our experiences.

It’s actually part of our survival mechanism. If there’s a lion nearby, but we can make ourselves believe there isn’t, the lion will still be there, and pretty soon we’ll be its lunch. As long as we have to function in a 3D world, we have to objectively perceive it.

It’s against our nature to believe in things for which we have no proof. Unless they’re negative beliefs — believing there’s a lion even when there isn’t will make us more careful and therefore increase our chances of survival.

That’s why “believe and it shall be so” is extremely easy for negative things, and excruciatingly hard for positive things.

Of course, there are still people who can manage to do it. But if you’re one of the many who struggle with it, this reverse manifestation method can be just the trick.

See it to believe it

Rather than trying to work against your nature, use it to help you manifest.

Challenge yourself to create proof for yourself for why you should believe something.

For example, say you want to believe “I’m getting wealthier and wealthier”, and your bank account has a low amount.

Challenge yourself to raise that amount so that you can believe you’re getting wealthier and wealthier.

Sign up for freelance gigs, make an ad on Fiverr, offer tutoring help in a subject you’re good at to neighborhood kids, sell some of your lightly worn clothes. Keep doing things until you see that number start to increase.

And then, you should have less resistance to believe you’re becoming wealthier.

As you do, more ideas will come, leading to more action, leading to more wealth, leading to more belief, and the cycle goes on.

How this type of manifestation works

I called this the “reverse” way to manifest, because it can seem to be backwards.

It’s more similar to the traditional “work towards your goals” approach where action leads the way.

But actually, this is the same as manifesting, except you skip a step.

Because manifestation isn’t just about believing in something, and *poof* it appears in your life.

It’s about believing so that doing the work becomes easier and more intuitive.

You might also call this a self-fulfilling prophecy.

For example, if you believe you’re a highly likable person with tons of friends, you will naturally start to be more open to people, engage more during interactions, present yourself as a happier person… and this will lead to you having more friends.

On the other hand, if you believe you’re likable but behave like a grouchy asshole, you won’t get very far. When actions and beliefs aren’t aligned, actions trump (and eventually kill) beliefs.

And that’s why, if you don’t yet believe, start with action.

Recap & action steps

  • In the 3D world, action is still stronger than belief. The “believing” first step of manifestation is there so that doing the work becomes easier and more intuitive.
  • When you’re manifesting and struggling to believe, challenge yourself to create proof for yourself so that you can believe. Make it like a fun game — how much proof can you generate?
  • This is like the traditional “work to achieve your goals” approach and actually the same process as manifesting, but you skip trying to create belief before you get down to action.

I’d love to hear from you too — what helped you fully believe in your manifestations? What kind of proof did you generate for yourself?
