As you’re interested in manifestation and LOVE living life fully, you probably have some pretty big visions, don’tya?
Maybe some that terrify you a little.
Understandably. When you have nothing, it’s really hard to imagine having everything. It’s like being at the bottom of the mountain looking at the top and thinking “how can I possibly??”.
You can’t even fathom all the work you have to put in – it feels impossible.
This is obviously not the energy for manifestation — and not the energy that will motivate you to put in the work.
So use this reframe to channel your feelings to fuel your manifestation instead.
So here’s why that goal of yours feels so scary.
When you give your mind a desire, it sets about figuring out how to make it happen.
And if your goal is huge, your brain will look at the distance between here and there and think “oh no. I don’t know if I can make that.”
Your survival instinct is built to protect you. So when it calculates a long, looong uncertain road ahead, it tries to save you from danger. It does this by making the goal feel so overwhelming and burdensome that it puts you off.

And we can be thankful this mechanisms exists.
It served us really well, once upon a time. If you were faced with an actual long arduous road ahead, with all sorts of threatening wildlife lurking in the bushes, it was in fact much better for you to stay near your coze little campfire. Unless there was an even bigger threat that outweighed the danger of the long and dangerous trek.
The survival instinct always guides you to the path of least danger — and greatest comfort and safety.
But obviously, the world we live in has evolved wayyyy past this scenario.
And just because you feel fear, doesn’t mean there’s any actual threat.
You now live in an environment where feelings are not always the best guide for what to do.
So here’s how you can align your feelings with your goal, so that they help you towards it rather than keep you from it.

Convert your fear into fuel for your success
So here’s the gist:
Don’t think about getting where you want to go. Think about getting a milimeter from where you are.
Here’s how this works.
At the bottom of the mountain, looking wayyy up at the top, you can’t imagine being there.
But can you imagine being 20cm from where you are?
If yes, then you can take a step forward.
Now can you imagine doing it again? And again? And again? And again?
Until eventually you find yourself 20% up the mountain — and then you can easily imagine yourself at 30%. Then 40%. Then 50%. Until finally you’re just a few meters from the top, and seeing yourself at the peak is completely imaginable, and in fact you’re already there.

Huge goals take a huge amount of time. But your feelings give you signals for the immediate future. They won’t take into account that you can take hundreds of days to get to your goal. They’ll compare what you want against the next few seconds.
And obviously, an enormous amount or work will create massive overwhelm.
So break your goal up into chunks so small, that they bring feelings of incredible lightness, because they’re so darn easy.
Let’s look at some more examples:
If you want to lose, say, 20kg, it’s difficult the same way. But can you imagine losing 0.5 kg? Or even less – 0.1 kg? And then one more? And one more? And one more? Until you’ve lost a kilo? Then you can imagine losing another? And another?

When I started this blog, I also had a vision for it that felt big and scary. But I put it aside and just dug into my passion and obsession for this topic. While having nothing — not even a domain — I could not imagine having my goal.
But I could imagine buying my domain. And from there, I could imagine setting up a design template. Then writing my first post. Then another. Then another. Then adding an about page.
Then creating a free ebook sharing the 15 most powerful principles I’ve learned, distilled into plug & play actionable steps (coming really soon!).
And from where I am now, that vision of mine is still big and incredible, but it’s also much more doable and exciting.
This is the fast-track to manifesting
One tiny step after another… You might think this kind of breakdown sounds terribly slow. But it’s actually the fast lane of manifestation mindsets.

Because you’re essentially creating proof for yourself to believe more and more.
You focus on making just a little bit of progress each day, and after a while you see how you’ve moved away from your starting point. And then you start believing that moving forwards is possible. And if moving forwards is possible, then eventually reaching your goal also must be possible — if you keep going for long enough.
And most importantly, this belief is sustainable over the long term. Because it’s not based on a magic trick or quick fix. It’s based on building the mindset of commitment to keep putting one foot in front of the other. The longer you go, the more proof you create — and the stronger your belief gets.
And if you keep doing that, you’re destined to get to your destination.
Recap & action steps
- When you’re at point 0, thinking about getting to point 100 feels overwhelming. This is your survival instinct trying to protect you from what it perceives as a long and dangerous journey.
- But getting from point 0 to 1 feels light and incredibly doable. This is a step your survival instinct can approve of. Even though some of your emotional pathways are outdated, you can’t get rid of them – so make them work for you.
- Keep your big picture in mind — but mince it into teeny tiny action steps, and focus on doing those one after another.
I’d love to hear from you too — what’s a light, tiny action step that will take you to your big bold goal?
